Lions Park
City park next to the Golden Community Center, just north of Clear Creek, with a large accessible playground, shaded picnic tables and two rentable pavilions. Known for its community Fourth of July celebration.
The Lions Club built this park in the 1960s beside the Golden Community Center, just north of Clear Creek. It is known for the community Fourth of July celebration and its large playground with accessible features, and it has shaded picnic tables, a multi-use field, a volleyball pit, a dog hydration station and restrooms. It connects to the Clear Creek Trail.
Its two picnic pavilions can be rented in season; the city’s Park Rules page gives the 2026 reservation season as May 18 to September 20, at $200 on weekdays and $250 on weekends and holidays for up to 40 people, booked online at least seven days ahead. The same page sets creek-corridor park hours at one hour before dawn to one hour after dusk and bans alcohol, glass, smoking and most grills there; dogs stay on leash. The parking fee by the drop-in point is from the city’s Clear Creek Whitewater Park page.
