Golden History Museum

The city's history museum on 10th Street, free and open Tuesday to Saturday, with exhibits drawn from a collection of 15,000-plus objects and a hands-on gallery for young children.

Golden History Museum & Park is the City of Golden’s history museum, free to visit and open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Its exhibits draw on a collection of more than 15,000 objects, and there is a hands-on gallery for families with young children; the website also hosts an online collection.

The museum traces its founding to 1938, opened at North School on Washington Avenue in 1939 and has been at 923 10th Street since 1996. It is closed Sundays, Mondays and on Easter, Thanksgiving Eve and Day, Christmas Eve and Day, and New Year’s Eve and Day.
