The Polar Express Train Ride

The museum’s holiday production of The Polar Express, three shows an evening from November 6 to December 23: carols, the Hot Chocolate song with cocoa and a cookie, and a staged reading of the story in a heated pavilion, then a ride to the North Pole in vintage coaches behind a coal-fired steam locomotive, a silver bell from Santa on the way back and a visit with him afterward. Shows begin at 5, 6:30 and 8 pm, and the museum asks guests to arrive half an hour early for the pre-show. It says the event has sold out quickly in past years; lap riders under 2 ride free.
