The Colorado Railroad Museum’s annual Halloween steam-up weekend: rides behind a coal-burning Colorado steam locomotive, leaving every half hour from 10 am to 3 pm, with not-so-spooky haunted railcars, a silly graveyard, a hay bale maze and a pumpkin cart for costume photos. Guests are encouraged to come in costume to trick-or-treat. Capacity is limited, so the museum recommends buying admission and ride tickets ahead and arriving 30 minutes before your departure; food is for sale on site.
