An evening talk by Terre Deegan-Young, who went to Vietnam with the American Red Cross straight out of college to run its mobile recreation program for soldiers in combat zones, the volunteers known as Donut Dollies. With photographs and stories, she covers why she went, her tour of duty and the less than welcoming reception she and other Vietnam veterans met on coming home. She later spent 25 years as a counselor at the Colorado School of Mines and has lived in Golden for more than 50 years. Tickets through the museum’s page.
