Golden opens its holiday season with a candlelit walk down historic Washington Avenue, singing carols, from the top of the hill at 15th Street at 6:30 pm to Parfet Park, where a half-hour performance leads up to Santa switching on the lights of the park and the Clear Creek corridor at about 7:20. Bring a candle. Afterward there is a luminaria walk, blacksmith demonstrations, a bonfire, dancing and free cocoa from the Golden Lions Club, and a free shuttle runs from 5 to 9 pm from the Splash lot at 3151 Illinois St.
